I am 25 Years Old and a Lot of Shows are Closing
So, January 11 was my 25th Birthday, and also the day a sizable number of Broadway shows brought down their final curtains. To begin, I will share with you that I went to see The New York Philharmonic with my boyfriend for a lovely, symphonic evening (all right, half of it was lovely — the Mozart and the Debussy — and the rest was a wretched smattering of noise that was meant, as far as I could tell, only to show off the virtuosity of the instrumentalists and completely lacked any discernible melody, but all told, it was totally worth it) and then we baked cake, and he surprised me with a small grouping of friends who showed up while I was in the shower. A great day. And now, I’m 25 years old. This is a very big, important year. I have made a lot of goals. I’ll let you know in six months how I’m doing.
